Redbud Quilt Run

Hello Quilters!

I'm getting lots of questions on the Redbud Quilt Run which will be July 28, 9am-8pm, July 29, 9am-8pm, and July 30, 9am-6pm.

You do not need to participate in the quilt or quilts to be eligible to win a prize package which includes a sewing machine and $300 worth of other prizes. The first shop you visit will have a passport for you, you then need to visit each of the 6 shops, having your passport stamped at each, and leave the passport at the last shop. When the run is over there will be a drawing to determine the winner from all the passports.

You can win another way by collecting all 12 block kits (2 from each shop) and a finishing kit of your choice. Then make your quilt! It must be complete by Jan 28, 2012 and brought to any of the shops. You do not need to leave this quilt with us. We will enter your name into a second drawing for a chance to win a second sewing machine and $300 worth of other prizes. This quilt is not judged, but must be made with all 12 block kits and a finishing kit from any shop.,

You can win a third way by collecting 2&1/2" strips, 4 from each shop and making a challenge quilt with your own design, using all 24 strips. You may add any other fabrics you wish, size must be a minimum of 48"x60" and not larger than queen size. This quilt is judged and must be left at any shop by Jan 28, 2012. The top 4 quilts from the judging will then go on a trunk show, spending a month at a time at each shop. The prize for this quilt is a GoBaby cutter and $300 worth of other prizes. This quilt has a $10 entry fee, to be paid when brought to any shop, in Jan.

I will have goodie bags for the first 300 hoppers at my shop along with some special prizes. Those kits are ready to go, strips are ready to go and goodie bags are ready to go, finishing kits are still in the works. My quilt is 92"x92", the kit to finish it, is $96. If you want to use my kit please let me know 918 322-3537. I"ll have your kit in reserve when you come to my shop on the shop hop. I have an alternate border, a stripe border that is beautiful with the rest of the quilt. If you'd like this alternate border, the kit will be a little more, to allow you to miter the corners.
