I need to get back in the swing! Our vacation to see the new baby was a much needed break. We drove to Oceanside, CA. I didn't remember how big the sky is, until we went across New Mexico and Arizona. It was spotty rain most of the way and it made the mountains and rocks look orange and purple against the clouds and sky, it was breath taking! We do live in a beautiful country! We enjoyed 4 days with our son and his wife and 1 year old son Aiden and the new baby Parker. I also visited "several" quilt shops and picked up new ideas for the shop along the way.
For Sept and Oct I'll have classes for the Hidden Star Sampler Quilt. There will be two classes for each block, allowing everyone two chances to learn each block. This is very beginner friendly, and teaches different techniques for 6 different block patterns. The book for this pattern is $12.95 and each person will need the book. Block classes will all be from 1pm-4pm and cost $8 per class. *See below for bonus class! Free with all completed blocks*
Block 1 Class will be Thurs Sept 9 or Tues Sept 14
Block 2 Class will be Thurs Sept 16 or Tues Sept 21
Block 3 Class will be Thurs Sept 23 or Tues Sept 28
Block 4 Class will be Thurs Sept 30 or Tues Oct 5
Block 5 Class will be Thurs Oct 7 or Tues Oct 12
Block 6 Class will be Thurs Oct 14 or Tues Oct 19
*Sashings and Borders Class will be Thurs Oct 21 or Tues Oct 26. *Free* With all finished blocks 10am-4pm *Free*
Supply list for these classes is available at the shop. The finished quilt measures 91"X108" and will really be a WOW! quilt.
Sept 18 Sat will be a tote bag using charm squares from 10am- 4pm Pattern $8 required (no copies please) and class cost $10
Sept 25 Sat will be a sewing wallet class using charm squares from 10am-4pm Makes a great gift! Class cost is $10
